Mother's day weekend with my little family

I never thought that I would ever become a mother. It's not an easy job. But because of this little girl, I feel complete and whole. She is my world.  

We all had a great weekend.. and it was all about running around, swimming, playing, relaxing, learning the ways of the force and my favorite moments, when she curled up in my arms after a long day of playing, and fell asleep. I honestly didn't want to put her to bed, I just wanted to hold her and cherish the memory. This is my little girl.. this is my little person, who I made and I would never ever EVER trade these moments to be a single NON mom person..

So here is to being a mom.. the toughest job I have EVER loved!!!

Salad Spinner + hair gel + paint

A link from a girlfriend was sent to me to give a try with my daughter as a craft time idea.. which involved hair gel ( a huge bottle for a $1 at the dollar store), small paper plates (again $1 from dollar store),  paint, and thanks to Alex, a salad spinner.

FIrst paint the hair gel onto the plate

As you can see it doesn't really matter how you place the paint, you just let your "mini me " have fun with paint. We also added sparkles to give it some "glimmer" effect.

Now let the laws of physics and gravity and have fun, spin that sucker fast or slow, no matter what you do in the end, to watch Adele's face see the outcome first ... priceless!

As you can see, clean up is minimum and because the paint was water based I just put the spinner in the sink and watched the water change to multiple colors.. and that was it!

We had a lot of fun with this project, and I can't wait to do it again, as now she wants to make masks with all the colors and her little imagination is going wild with ideas.

Black and White

It's  been a really long time since I took pictures of Adele, and played around with them. Last night she put on her cowboy hat and I just couldn't resist picking up the camera and playing with my 50mm lens.

Snow Day on da island

At least once a year Victoria gets a snow storm.. and today was that day.. 

The Great Canadian SNOW DAY

After the blizzard had finally settled down, we headed out.. and what fun we had...

 What a kid, and like any kid a snow angel is a must! We had so much fun and some good laughs and chase scenes in the snow.

Overall it was a fantastic day, it was sad in the late afternoon to say good-bye to her.. I had to watch her father drive away. Her little hand waving like there was no tomorrow.. I sure love her, my little turkey, my princess..... my Adele.

Surpise

Yesterday I received the best surprise at work.. My daughter came and visited me at lunch time! Her Nana brought her out for the visit. It was so awesome to see her, she looked so adorable. It made an ordinary day, extraordinary!

As I was getting my desk ready for lunch, Adele decided that lunch would be better on the floor as a picnic.. and she was so right!

I am just so lucky to have a little person like her in my life!!!

Shoes

I have a child - she is cute and adorable, and there are times I can't believe that she is mine.


She likes to clean my bike after she has colored it in chalk.




She is all mine.. all mine.. and there are days when buttons are pushed



Then she decides that we need shoes, not just her but me as well and they have to match..and so this is our pair of shoes... I think we did good...

Easter

I truly love taking pictures of Adele... she has so many expressions and isn't afraid to let you know. Her hair makes me laugh.. half her head is straight hair and the other half is curly... how the hell did that happen..



She's always curious, and wants to know what is happening around the world around her.
She is always laughing and makes me laugh.



She is growing up fast and furious. I lay at night listening to her breath and think tomorrow she will be different, and to treasure each second with her.. because I won't get that time back.

Oh to be young again... this weekend Adele and I played with bubbles.. She had so much fun.. and mom did too. I love taking pictures of her....she is my little super model, can you tell?!?!?!

A day at the park

Today was a great day for Addy and I. We went to the park with Andrea, her daughter Kara, and her two sons Justin and Taylor. We wanted Addy to get used to everyone as Andrea will be watching Addy when I head back to work. I really don't think I have NOTHING to worry about as Addy took to Andrea NO problem. It was a wonderful time to feed the ducks and take pictures of the girls. Andrea took this picture of Addy and me. T here really aren't alot of pictures of her and I, and I wish I had more.
