Hi everyone..

so be patient with me.. I will still be blogging on this page as well, but the new site will have a blog page!

Shoes

I have a child - she is cute and adorable, and there are times I can't believe that she is mine.

She likes to clean my bike after she has colored it in chalk.

She is all mine.. all mine.. and there are days when buttons are pushed

Then she decides that we need shoes, not just her but me as well and they have to match..and so this is our pair of shoes... I think we did good...

Yup all mine....

I'm creating leaves, leaves and more leaves, because in my sketch many vines to fill.... but it will be gorgeous (well in my head it will be).

I've also been hired to do some freelance work for a bed and breakfast... will show more later

Yarn shop Closing

Upon my terrible discovery my favorite yarn shop is closing... NOOOOOO

Positives : the yarn that has been to expensive to buy is now 50% off.. which I ended up buying a wack load of bamboo yarn, and 100% cotton yarn as well.. the problem is what to make of it?????

I at least have a few more weeks to take advantage of the sale... I have my eye on a few other colors and yarn...

100th post

Wow I have made it to 100...
It's funny to go back and see what I did talk about, and the changes that have occurred in my life.. wow what a change.. some really good changes, good change, sad events, happy events..

Main events...
- the birth of my daughter and the whole reason this blog began.
- loss of my father, who was tragically taken away from us way to soon, but we all know he is watching over us, and protecting Adele.
-change from being married, to becoming a single mom, something i wasn't expecting but I have learned to be extremely grateful for the drastic change that occur in my life, and opened my eyes to the world around me. Giving me the opportunity to explore and re-discover who I really am and what I truly want in my life..
- the discovery of crochet, and the joy it brings to me and the people around me.
- meeting new people
- more tattoos... 14 so far!
- Watching my daughter grow and see the world threw her eyes.
- moving to a new location

those are just the few things that have occurred... and what will the next 100 post be... so to all those who read thank you, I greatly appreciate that you let me come into your home and share my journey with you.

Cheers Gen

Weekend Project and a 10k run

This weekend was what I needed. I enjoyed my couch and my crochet needles, and played a wack load of God Of War 3.
This weekend I created 2 hats. I'm in the process of making a flower for the yellow one..( was made out of 75% acrylic and 25% wool) the gradient blue was made with 100% cotton ( think I will weave a ribbon threw this one). As you can see I didn't have my super model for the weekend, and honestly using a orange pot and wool just doesn't cut it for the pic, but I will have her tonight, and will take some pics.

and I also made a Mouse:

OHHHH looky looky.. there is my label sew on the creature. I still have to figure out how the hell I'm going to properly sew this sucker on.. any advice would be beneficial. This mouse has a home to go to and be loved!

Now add a 10km run/walk, and you have a hurting body, that the couch was the MOST comfortable place to be, as well as my bathtub, and my diet of motrin. It was an amazing race, and loved the experience. It was a great way to kick me in the butt and get moving on my training!!!!
